National Warplane Museum's Whiskey 7 is a true D Day Veteran. Whiskey 7 was the lead aircraft in the second wave of the Allied invasion of Normandy on D Day. In June 2014, volunteers from the National Warplane Museum in Geneseo, NY, once again flew her across the Atlantic and dropped paratroopers on the original D Day drop zones, in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of D Day. Today the National Warplane Museum and Whiskey 7 continue to share their message of honor and recognition of all veterans, past and present and provide opportunities for all generations to experience the living history of this famous aircraft.
